Get more out of Youtube

When you upload your videos to be hosted onto youtube (to later embed into your blog as shown here!) you can add “Annotations” and “Close captions” to your videos to make them REALLY accessable to all your viewers. Annotations really underline your points, or give you way to link to other youtube videos, and close captions stop this problem about people either “allowed” to use audio in their work enviroments, or people who have problems hearing.

Found this really interesting – love the idea of video blogging – seeing as I blog for England already so taking it in a new direction sounds a bit of fun. Bit like Will Carling has done! But as usual I get a bit overwhelmed by the technology.

    Hi Sue,

Thanks for add your comment :)

These little flip cams are making the whole process so easy to get the ball rolling quickly that Im now putting together a half day workshops for people in exactly your situation. I will bring the flip cam, go through the whole process of recording the video, how easy it is to “plug in and upload” onto the web and how to embed it into your Blog. Im also thinking about doing 1 to 1 training on this as well, perhaps even doing a video based tutorial on it!
